Become a member of VAB
Become a Visual Arts Brampton member to:
- save on our weekly studio sessions
- participate in exhibits around town
- free online profiles, with samples of your work
- save at art supply stores
Our membership includes professional artists and hobbyists, from Brampton and Mississauga, even Don Mills and Orangeville.
Basic adult membership is just $35 a year. We haven't raised the price since 1996, and we don't plan to raise it anytime soon. If you plan to use the studio often, you can pay $150 a year for a "Crea8tif" level member, and save $2 at any studio session.
To join, just fill out a form at the studio, or download this file, and mail it or drop it off.
Discounted studio sessions: Membership saves you $2 off the cost of any session at the VAB Studio, as compared to the price for non-members, and Crea8tif membership saves you $5 off the cost of sessions.
Exhibits: While anyone, member or not, can exhibit at Artway in Shoppers World, join VAB and you can participate in shows across town. We'll invite you to display at various special events, at our studio during the Studios of Brampton Tour and other open houses, in the offices of the Brampton Board of Trade, the Brampton City Hall Atrium, even auctions at the Peel Heritage Complex.
(Other Brampton groups only allow you to exhibit twice a year in group shows, or charge you for shows. We never charge for shows. Unlike other groups, all of our exhibit locations are secure, ensuring your art's safety.)
In print: In the past, VAB has created calendars, art cards, reproductions, and a children's picture book of member works. Members receive free copies of the products to promote their art.
Online: Members have the option of submitting samples of their artwork and a profile, for inclusion in our high-traffic Artist Guide.
Art supply discounts: Go to Curry's or DeSerres (formerly Loomis), show your membership card, and receive a discount on your purchases.

Other Brampton art groups require you to volunteer for 40 hours, or pay $150 extra to dive out of the responsibility. With Visual Arts Brampton membership, you don't have to volunteer. You can, but it's certainly not expected or required. Other groups frequently raise the price of membership. We've kept it at $35 for 12 years and counting. |
